I have not read the article but the whole concept of diversity, as we now know and practice it, is inherently discriminatory because it is based on some type of external description or label. It assumes that adding a blue person to a room full of green people will somehow improve things. That assumes that there is something special about the blue person's blueness. Well that's an 'ism' of some sort isn't it? The blue person, aside from being blue, could be no more culturally, economically, socially or politically diverse than any of the green people. Yet, there might be a green person who is more socially diverse than any of his other green comrades. But the current concept of diversity tells us that because he is green, he is just like all the other green ones. His individual diversity is denied simply because he is green!

Because of this, the current concept of diversity is stereotypical, hypocritical and denies the ability of individuals to be different in meaningful ways. They can only be different in regard to how they are labeled.

The balkanization that I believe has taken place in American society is only partially based on skin color, or even any visually recognizable issue. There are groups based on behaviors and beliefs and geography of recent origin that seem to be totally unconcerned with melting into society, and in fact seemingly intentionally cause their own separation from the general population.

Hey, I don't know where you are from but the folks around here are pretty much either green or blue. A few are red. Most are green. I happen to be orange. We're seeng a lot more orange around here lately though.
