Fall snow

Well we got a quick blast of winter. Lots of highway closures. Heavy wet snow made things slippery.

That's what we get here, heavy wet snow, then it rains on it.

Much prefer colder, dry snow.

Yes... We got our first snow about 3 days ago.. About 5cm in the grass.. Driveway and barn roof melted off pretty quick... This snow started about 2 km east of us and went as far west as we can see over the bush.. From there on east 40 km into town it was dry as a bone...

Like said, roads west of us were blocked with slick spots and one big rock slide... Rock as big as a house it seems...

There was rain and black ice about 50 miles from here. Saw a video of a vehicle accident where the EMT guys were scooting on their knees on the highway to attend to those involved. Not a snowflake in sight there.

Winter snow is here. Alberta Clipper in session right now. Many highway closures. Our highway is solid ice. But it's a dry snow

Some of our grooming buddies are rolling there trails in Canada.

Were expecting 4-10” snow overnight. had 4” a few days ago, but all melted off.

High 70's in Washington, DC.
But the highs are predicted to be below 50°F next week.

So far only a couple of inches of snow…but 26°

Got another blow going on this evening. This time wind from the east, driveway should be free of snow this time too. Fingers crossed.

Still fumbling about whether I want to start the coal stoker simply because of the weather being such a yo-yo maybe tomorrow.

It's 71 here right now about 9:15pm. I don't miss snow too much, but November is certainly not early for snow up north.
