hey ker
I got a good one too.(4300 4x4 hst) ..25 hrs ,no leaks, lug nuts tight, working machine, killer hydraulics, hell of a machine,no orange under green paint.........Long live GREEN!!!!
Hey kid i see you got a Duetz. They made a splase here in gods country"OKLA."Bout 15 years ago ,Now you dont see em anymore.Whats the skinny on em,i had heard they were fine units.
8350 valmet with 980SL FEL duels had a 150 Hp deutz just sold it 10 NOV 01
Hi ya kerr
Deutz had a few probs awhile ago and are now tied up with same group (4 brands under one flag) alot of the new ones look the same ie 150 deutz 150 same parked side by side look like twins deutz are now water cooled to meet EU spec's for greenhouse gases etc etc , i have had probs but i had them with the JD too it all comes back to who fixes them if the guy who works on mine whent to another brand i could follow him with useing my tractor for contracting it needs to be going all the time all brands will have prob's it's haveing parts and the guys near by to fix them that counts ,if people are doing alot of hill work both same and deutz are great as when the diff lock is working it's fully locked diff's true 4x4 not just the back also same has inderpent brakes on the front so ya can steer with ya brakes (like a dozer) if you start slideing on losse dirt .
biggest plus is fuel use i have had 3 bigger tractors 7700 JD 7210 case IH and 150 duetz doing the same work and useing the JD as a base of 100 the case would use 90 and the duetz would use 70 so in my game thats a good saveing even the older air cooled duetz had that clam to fame
catch ya
JD Kid
one has to wonder why they keep 4 diffrent brands going tho when they are all in each others pockets
abit like CHN will we see only one brand and look in the coming years?????
JD 8320 MFWD, JD 6415 MFWD, FEL, and cab, John Deere MFWD 4600, John Deere 4020, John Deere 4430, John Deere 455 mower, Deutz, and Gehl 4610 perkins skidsteer
My 4600 has kind of become legend around here or rather the subject of ridicule. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I am always doing something that these guys make fun of me for doing with my "toy tractor". I know I'm going to get it this morning at the feed store. The Kubota dealer here is actually a good friend of mine and I usually go to him to get implements. On that new ground that i got it's in CRP and I wanted a 10-15' mower to keep the grass and weeds knocked down. The one I have now is only 8' and it will take a long time to do 60 acres with it. Anyway he said I supposed I'd pull it with that 4600. I said sure why not. He said no way you're going to pull it with that 4600. He's right I probably wouldn't but they all think I'd try, it makes for some good laughs at times. Not that a similiar kubota wouldn't do the same things but I have been pretty impressed with what that little tractor will do.
My 4200...300+ hrs tt, hst/420fel/box-blade/back-blade etc...right fine
machine! In brush-hog mode, supurb performance.
Best of all, my wife loves to run it too...
Good to hear from another 4200 owner. Help's to hear good and bad experiences in detail. I love this forum!
J.D.KID.thanks alot for the site .Kinda skimmed over it and quickly had an intrest in it all.Gave me a late nite place to window shop. One thing caught my eye, them round headlights are for jeeps!Makes that thing look like a big green bug outa some scary movie!L.O.L.
Lazy K ,how ya doing?300 hrs.Dang fella you been buisier than a cat covering up poop aint ya.I would sure like to see that battbox cover ya came up with a while back.I dont think i have room for much at all.Maybe my batt is too big?I dont know.Have you changed to synthetic oils or stickin with dino? later.
I cant stand it any longer. What the heck kinda left handed, backasswards, manure spreadin, space craft is that by yer name there!Even kubota dont make a critter that ugly.L.O.L.
