I have my eye on a 1950 Ford flatbed with 65k miles on a straight six. New gas tank, starter, upholstery and brakes. Very little rust. Inspected, registered, and driven a few times each week. $3k...but wouldn't want to drive it all the way to the auction! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif Still, it would sure beat having the wife haul sheep in the back of the Subaru!

John, I know you may not believe this, but I TOO had the pleasure of feeding 2 baby pygmy goats in the front seat of my Tacomo (note: STANDARD CAB) along Rte. 87 also... about 2 months ago.

Actually I was driving ... the CEO was working the kid-milk replacement bottles. Even at 3 weeks, they can kick like allgetout. One of em booted the stick right outta 5th gear into neutral at exit 19!!!!

My youngest had fell in love with them at one of our county fairs and couldn't sleep or eat or do anything... until her Pa just got some kids to raise... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Thats one of my faverite years. I love the 48-50 ford trucks. My dad had one that was a tow truck, I loved driving that around. He had swapped in a first gen T-Bird motor into it in the 50's. Wish I had it now.

My wife had fallen for them also. She started web searching goats, after reading that they love to eat poison ivy, and stumbled into the pigmy goats. She would love to get some, but with three dogs, a baby, and a new house being built, its on the back burner for now.

Paul, I've got a Pigmy Goat, as well as a Cashmire Goat, and neither one would ever touch poison ivy, or almost any other weed. I think it's other breeds of goats that eat poison ivy, but I can't remember which. My pigmy is actually a pretty picky eater. Only the best hay and goat feed for her. Then again, most of my critters are pretty spoiled.

Well John, no, we didn't get the lil ones in Catskill. We found them here in Orange Co. We recently visited Catskill Gamefarm, and I'll bet that supplier you mentioned supplies them with pygmies et. al. Hundreds of goats there, some of em pretty sickly I might add.

Glad to hear you got some caprines for your daughter. How many? How old, sexes, etc.? The CEO is goat crazy here! I won't even BEGIN to tell you what my project list has involved the last 5 months!
