Hey Moter1,
I'm just guessing,, but you may be able to muffle the noise quiet a bit, by using some type of insulation material between the cab and the cowling/chasis.
Does it seem to be vibration noise? If so some chaulking may also help. I know how vibration noise can be annoying, but isolating where the noise is coming from and then using a strategic plan, may be all that is required.
Remember these are still Chinese Tractors and They may not have access to all of the Insulation materials that we have over here. If the basic options are there, visibility good, Heating, Air Condition, Spring Seat, Power Steering, 4wd, and the HP is there as stated on the Engine, and the Price is Right. Then the rest can be refined to make a good tasting glass of Wine, Beer, or MoonShine. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Just think about it; when the rest of us are out in the freezing cold, and we can't even feel our fingers and toes and ears anymore, you will be cozy in your heated cab, and when the rest of us are sweating from the heat and choaking on the bugs and dust, You will be cozy in your Air Conditioned Cab. Listening to the News/weather/or your favorite Music. It just don't get anybetter than that does it? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I remember when My Dad got a new Case Tractor. It was pretty powerful. It wasn't our most powerful tractor, and so he put me on it in the summer as 2nd string Tractor Driver. It had a terrible vibration that was coming fromt he cowling area. I was so dumb, that it never crossed my mind to put some insulation material between where the cowling was vibrating against, but looking back on that now, I am almost positive, all that it would have taken was some insulation material in between, where the cowling and the metal that it was vibrating against.
I sure do envy you, You will be in Tractor Heaven. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Just be extra careful not to damage your cab on overhanging objects, such as tree limbs and such. Solid objects, sometimes just don't like to change there stationary positions very easily. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Have a nice day,
