I was wondering if anyone has checked into the farm pro tractors. The 30 hp tractor with backhoe and loader runs 15000. The JD with loader runs 15000 /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Any comments.

welder,

Welcome to TBN, the best tractor site of them all. I recently saw a mail order flyer for Homiers that illustrated the farm pro tractor at a low price but as I already have a JD I didn't really pay attention to it. Not knowing about the brand, might I suggest you check out the forum "Other brands/Equipment" and do a search for farm pro.

Just my opinion, in tractors, as with most other things, you get what you pay for. I would hestitate to buy equipment if I could not get parts and service for it locally.

The farm pro is a Jinma mfg tractor, similar to Northern tools Nortrack ,Their are several variations of the JM304 and 354 tractors all with the same powertrail, some of the economy packages as you see have "Asian " imported loaders and or backhoes, most of the dealers that are offering theise JM series tractors use the higher quality Koyker ,Great bends loaders and backhoes of equivlent build and quality,You can get more info from the Chinese form below ,or the CTOA

Welder, be sure to check all features and quality of build.
There is a big difference between Chinese and South Korean/Japanese built tractors.
Price is not always the best judge of value.

The backhoe I saw mounted at the Homier show was bent badly near the pivot link. Supposedly brand new. Cheeeeeap.

All I can say is would you buy a Kia if it had a 90 day warranty and 1 dealer per state?

I would be more inclined to look at a chinese tractor once i see proof of just one that makes it to 500 hours without being completely rebuilt. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Steve: I think you need to take a look at the CTOA site then as there are quite a few of them with 1000's of hrs on them...
Mine has not had much problems but less than 200 hrs now still in 2 years. so far I had to replace a oil press gauge, and a radaitor hose. and 2 o-rings that were lost from being loose at assembly. rest has been a dream to play and work with.
