I read somewhere you could still actually get land grants in North Dakota. It must really be a laid back place.

I've bought two tractors here in TN and wasn't required to register either one. There were no fees or sales tax. Actually, no sales tax on any farm implement that costs more than 250 dollars.
I think SMV plates are one of those Federal "twisted arm" requirements, you know, do this or we won't send any money.

Well, the dealer asked both times how many acres I had, I don't know if there is a cut off point. I did green belt my property to cut the property tax bill, but put it in timber rather than farm. They use a different form when you apply, again I don't know the difference. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
