Farmall 140

Hi all,
I'm Paul Bertrand, the new owner of an old Farmall 140. I'm hoping this site will be of help to me. I'm sure as time goes on, I'll have questions. I hope you all will have answers.

Thanks very much! Hope I can heip as much as much as learn. I have a fair knowledge of mechanics and tractors. I'm a former owner of a Farmall cub, dis advantge was it didn't have a 540 PTO. The PTO turned the same direction as the engine. Hope to put a rotory tiller on the 140 and grow vegetables in my retirement years (verysoon).

What year is your 140...by the way, a picture will save 1000 words...my 140 is a '74 "key start" with a 1pt. fasthitch...very handy. Welcome..BobG in VA

Hi Bob,
I tried posting a photo but the site says it's too large. I was told it was a '65 model, but the serial# 4805J tells me it's a '59 model. It been converted to 12volts, has key start, and a 3pt hitch.
