Farmall 35B Accelerator will not stay in place

Hi,

The accelerator works fine except it will not stay in place. No tension is on it, so if I set it at about 50% it will drop to 0% (still runs) immediately. If I hold the accellerator in place by hand it drives/works fine.

Any ideas?

Its ~ 10 hrs old and the first time I opened the motor up to about 90% throttle this has happened.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say the friction disc that holds the accelerator lever in place needs snugged up a bit. Tighten nut #8 in this exploded view of your accelerator lever assy.
