Farmall cub hydraulic leak

Have a 53 Farmall Cub and the lift reservoir has a leak. Does this take regular hydraulic fluid? Thanks

Reg hyd oil is all I've put in mine for years and never had any problems.

Yes Reg Hyd Oil is called for. Don't put hy-tran in it.

Is the leak in the reservoir or the cylinder?... well my Cub leaks both places, but not enough yet to break her up.

Leak appears to be in bottom of reservoir. It is not really bad yet. Put some hydraulic oif in reservoir to bring up to full mark. This seems to have solved my problem. I did notice that Farmall Cub. com has a complete rebuild kit for the system for about $40. Will consider that if needed..
