There are bushings in the front bolster also there is a thrust bearing. When you grease the ftont you need to jack up the front end to take off the pressure or the thrust bearing might not get any grease. Ive got 4 running M,s and a junked one. I like to convert them to a single tire front. makes them steer like power steering.

i see only a upper bushing and also the thrust bearing. their apoparently is no lower bushing on the shaft. i will try that and jack up the front end before i grease it. thanks for the info

This is a Super M, and apparently the same as an M. Case/IH doesn't seem to have the straight C's, H's And M's listed anymore, only the "Supers" since upgrading their parts site. Not sure what's up with that...

i think i found the problem.as it wasn't anything i had messed with i overlooked it. i found the casselated nut on the end of the steering worm and shaft loose although had been cotter keyed. i tightned nut up at least a turn and a half. almost all cplay is gonr now. i appreciate everyones help on this matter thank you all again
