I just picked up a super a and have a few questions.

1 is the serial number cast anywhere besides the
plate(plat is worn can't make out numbers)

2 does anybody have a link where i could get some
info on fluid levels/capacities and types to use

that is all i can think of now thanks in advance for all replies

ytmag.com has lots of info. I can check my books for capacities.

That should be the only serial number. You can, however, look at angine, cylinder head, and tranny casting numbers to get date codes which can then be deciphered to get an approximate year on the tractor.

Also.. tractor supply has the I&T manual for your super A.. it has lots of info including specifications.. etc.

Owners manuals are available at places like:

Binders Books
They have tons of vintage IH literature.

I bought my cub manual reprint from them.. couldn't find it anywhere else.
