June of last year?
Nope, the dateline for the story was for yesterday.
The incident happened in England and you would know the "Manitou truck" as a type of telehandler.
of course it matters:shocked: many people can be saved by noting how the accident happened, and never doing that!.. sometimes many people have to learn common sense!..Really does not make a hilll of beans of difference how it happened. The fellow is dead and that is that.
My BIL's sister's husband was killed because a rented Bobcat hydraulics failed and crushed him. He was digging a hole and climbed in the hole under the bucket. He was building their new home and she was at work. Came over to find him at the end of the day... tragic.Watch others, lock any and all safety devices (e brakes, etc), and NEVER trust hydraulics to hold.
All accidents are unfortunate, always put safety first.
