If you have a backhoe mounted on a 3pt hitch, you will need a LOT of luck!
If your backhoe is on a subframe you are in no danger!
Fortunately, I do have the frame mounted backhoe. I've been looking at the various mods that folks do to strengthen the weak points, so I'll be doing those, I'll be using this backhoe a LOT.

On my Ford tractor, I have a similar lever in that location. It controls the speed of the 3ph--Especially when using Draft Control implements (plows). Mine is variable from Slow to Fast. It doesn't have detents as yours appears.

That is very interesting. It sounds like the engine mounted pump runs the power steering and possibly the FEL but the disconnect is for the pump that runs the backhoe?
I'm really not familiar with this tractor.
The Jinma 284 has a mounting point for a rear mounted pump just above the PTO shaft. It turns with the engine speed and the PTO is run independently. However, the pump shaft is powered through the PTO (second stage clutch) input so if you push the clutch in far enough to disengage the PTO the rear pump will stop too.
My PTO has dual speeds and a neutral position on the speed selector. The engage/disengage is on a separate lever.

Does the pump that runs your backhoe come off when the backhoe is removed?

Yes to the pump coming off with the backhoe. Our tractors are near identical, mine's just rebranded as a farmpro.

"The engage/disengage is on a separate lever." Yes, that is the lever I was asking about in my original post, now I understand it's purpose.

With these Chinese tractors, it's seems sometimes as if no two are alike, and none of them seem to completely match up with the manual they were sold with. And they are very "old school" tractors, mine has a battery and a fuse block, simple as can be. There may be some similarities with my tractors and a Ford from, say, the 50's. :)
