A few days ago everyone was saying "follow the Money" concerning the $14million. did any one get the first Montana reject memo? They said Farmtrac had revenues of $22million the first quarter of"06. Suppose the second quarter was 1/2 of first and third was 1/2 of second and fourth was 1/2 of third quarter-- that made $41.25million for the year! Where is that money? Did they lose it all in 2007?

The Indians took it home and spent it on curry and Holy cattle! What a dish!

Perhaps India? Perhaps in a Swiss bank account? Or both?

In a small town near me there was a hardwood flooring factory(Burrus Land and Lumber co.) Been there since the 20's and even has the tiny houses all around the plant that at one time was owned by the company and rented to the workers. I'm guessing about 6-8 years back the owners (two) decided to take the money and run(Europe). The workers went to work one morning and padlocks were on the doors. Never got the last pay checks either. What money the workers had in pension or 401K was gone too. Finally after 5 years one of the crook owners was brought back and faced charges. The other one last I heard was still over seas. The workers never got 1 cent of what they lost.

Seems to be the in thing in America today. CEO's making 600 times what the average worker makes and can make all the wrong moves and leave with 400 million in bonuses.

After reading the post above it goes right along with what I've said the last 6 years. The best corporate crooks have nothing but the best education. What the heck are they teaching in schools and colleges today?

One thing I find suspisous about about the auction at tarboro is the time line.I've been attending auctions for over 30 years and can never remember one being held on such short notice,Not even court ordered bankrupcies.both Marrow and Gurkins have indicated thier goal is to recover the maximum amount of money for the farmtrac company.But,without advance flyers being mailed out or a suffient time for advertising,or for buyers to inspect and make travel arrangments,it appears they are doing just the opposite.it's as if they already have someone they wish to tilt the sale in favor of,and exclude, especially the dealers.most who will not be able to make travel arrangements in time,after all,we have businesses to run.the major Used parts buyers and dealers, who would pay the most,probably will not even know about it.---Taxpayer

Mr. Gurkins said he wishes he could meet with each of the dealers, but the workload wont let him.....what if all the Farmtrac dealers in the US would schedule a NATIONAL DEALERS MEETING in Tarboro on April 24 and invite him to visit with them? Maybe rent the high school auditorium or something..... would love to attend a dealers meeting like that!!!!!!!! That could maybe take place the evening before the auction is why I suggest the 24th...just a thought...maybe some OTHER people to be invited too if they are man enough to meet with the dealers...would be quite interesting I'm sure....but I wonder how many of these people could be man enough to look the dealers in the eye after all that has gone on???

When I made this suggestion I was not joking. I for one am willing to give Mr. Gurkins the benifit of the doubt when he says that he wishes he could talk to each of the dealers. This whole thing has got everyone panicky because there has been no communication with the dealers for three months. The most valuable thing Farmtrac has is its dealer network. If such a meeting were to be arranged and if EVERYONE WOULD PROMISE TO ACT CIVILIZED AND BUSINESS-LIKE, maybe everyone could sit down together on April 24th and share some suggestions on where to go from here. If Mr. Gurkins would agree to this I would have a tremendous amount of respect for him. Sure, there may be some plans in the works he cannot disclose until the right time....but the dealers deserve to be told SOMETHING!!!! If it is over and there is no hope, just tell us.....if there is a remote chance of saving the company, just tell us....the dealers can deal with BAD news better than NO news...and no news is what has been given so far !!!

TOMMYBR I could not agree with your more! I just want news-good-bad-or ugly. Just tell me! We need something concrete to keep us going on! We are at the point of putting the tractors outside the fence and telling SOMEONE to come and get 'em. But I don't want to be on the hook with Textron. Always someone sitting in the drivers seat besides the dealers. Just give us news!
