Hey got another idea. Why don't everyone go buy 100 chickens 100 hogs a jacobson lawnmower and a Farmtrac Tractor&Fel at full list plus 10% and everyone will be happy. That's 350000 chickens 350000 hogs 3500 jacobson/textron lawnmowers and 3500 darn happy Farmtrac dealers. just a thought???? n -----o--------t h---a----p----e----n----i----n----g in this country because we what to talk about helping a friend in need until action is needed.
Darn that would make a good breakfast!!!!!!

I am a Farmtrac dealer with 42 tractors left on the lot. My question is to the other Farmtrac dealers out there. Are you guys selling the tractors? I keep reading and hearing other dealers who are not selling them. We have sold about 8 tractors and 9 loaders at a discounted price of coarse. I figure I gotta get 'em gone somehow.
Right now my "Farmtrac Troubles" consist of I'm out of ESL14599 Fuel filter kits ... I've been told a Mahindra filter is close enough to the same thing to work. Has anyone tried it? Just would like to know before I order a bunch form my Mahindra dealer.
Thanks

I just recieved a bill from textron in the mail, demanding full payment or curtailment payments on tractors put on my yard by farmtrac on unlimited terms.it seems to confirm that textron does not intend to give the dealers time to sell these tractors under the new warranty plan, before moving legally against the dealers. I feel the warranties provided by textron through one of thier insurance companys, was simply another market stratagey to position them to be able to say they wanted to help dealer but,now since the dealers can't or won't pay, then they have no choice but to foreclose.I disagree, farmtrac is still a legal company, and as long as they remain a legal company, the unlimited term agreement between farmtrac and the dealer should remain in effect. until I recieve a notice from farmtrac stating that the unlimited term agreement has been canceled, I will not and in fact cannot pay until I sell each tractor. why should I not be upset about this agreement being considered null and void by a third party, with anyone ever consulting me and giving me an opportunity to return back to the status I was before the agreement was put into effect?-------Taxpayer

What good is the warranty unless Textron can provide the parts to perform the warrany....esepecially on the Escorts "Indian" tractor.

...and we still don't have any financing. I have checked with 3 different local finance companies that we have used in the past and still no go! They feel it is too big a liability because they feel like it is a child without a mom and dad! And the lack of a firm committment with parts. I guess we can just hope that someone comes in for a cash sale-OH yeah and the discounts. Same price as last year, but a tarnished name! Some "lookers" have told me they will hold off for the deep discounts. What do you say to that?!

I just got a fax that says that a man named Kurt Schenck has been appointed as the account executive over Farmtracs floorplan finance portfolio. I wonder where they put Bill Scott. He is probably somewhere he can't be served with a subpoena by a court!

Mr. Brentwood Power,

A steel trap mind about C.W. "Kurt" Schenck!

Here *was* your link to support the statement:
http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Finding+A+Niche+In+Imported+Tractors-a055850000

Guess what? Their website juuuuuust happened to go down within moments of me hitting it. If I wasn't a conspiracy theorist before...

Here's a link to the trusty hardcopy I made of the Schenck article:
http://www.bob44.com/pdfs/LongAgri_Schenck.pdf

Grrrrrrr!

Far as Mr. B.S.: There are a few possible explanations. My last dollar would be bet that it's a strategic move by TF... and/or Mr. B.S.

Think of it: With the way the dynamic has shaped up to effectively snag the dealers (and subsequently the external customers) from every angle, what's the chance those moves have made by "aw shucks" dumb luck or a co-winky-dink?

No way. Not buying it -- not for a second.
IMHO, this is another choreographed move.

Just one guy's hunch.
