Not pines but one of my favorite things are Louisiana Iris. Some of these have been in my family for --- well, a very long time. These are some I brought here to Kansaw along with some other stuff I found here just all mixed up in an eclectic planting. J

Very nice layout. Nice job.

I enjoyed the pic of the black pine. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Best looking specimen I ever saw. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Only knock on them around here, is they suck up some major water in the summer months.

Polecat, by the powers invested in me by the C.S.A., I pronounce you an Honoary Southerner /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. With this new honor you have the right to collect as much junk as you wish and pile it in great heaps all about your property. Some white painted tires lining your drive will add to the decor as will a few rusted out cars. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif J

POLCAT:

I feel for ya: I bouight my 22 acres in december of 2001. well now I'm STILL cleaning junk piles up. though I don't live there full time, maintaining 3 places, Mine the GF's and the FARM. I'm spending too much time in different places to get the farm cleaned up very fast. I have at least 6 big piles and 4 or 5 big burn piles. the old guy used to ride around the property drinking beer on his lawn mower. toss out the can/bottle where ever. the wild roses were way bad, I've hit probably 10 nasty items burried half way in the ground, from chain to pipes and car rims. ect. they dismantled 2 + old trailer homes, multiple cars, toilets bath tubs ect. I don't have a good trailer, (want one though) so actually getting rid of it is a pain... most of it is worthless and maybe 15% can be scrap metal...

anyhow keep digging and burning and burrying it will get better!
