Fate of G vs BX?

If your going to have to take odd jobs to pay for it...
If you think buying a tractor that cannot accept implements is an advantage because you won't be tempted to buy them...
Get a T1760! Liquid cooled gas engine. A good little machine for MANY thousands less. This is the tractor for you!
Frankly, it would have done me just fine too.

Nice unit. My neighbor has one. Quiet, and lots of power, but the largest deck is a 48". :(

so you make 10 extra swipes.
costs you a few minutes but think of the fact that you wont have to spend an hour mowing neighbors yards to pay for it.

You keep throwing LOGIC into this equation. :) Actually, I would look forward to playing on new toy. Do you ever finish mowing your grass, and wish you had more?

Playing on a my new toy consists of more than just lawn mowing: bush hogging, tilling the new garden site, plowing up the field, collecting lawn debris, distributing that compost pile, etc. Only limited by the available attachments, catch my drift?

The choice between a G model or a ZD21 is a bit complicated. The ZD-21 has a different 60-inch deck than the G series. The ZD-21 deck has steel reinforcement over the grass exit opening and is also reinforced on the left side of the deck. These differences are important if there is a risk of striking objects. The ZD-21 has more U joints but fewer belts. The Z is a bit longer and probably a bit stronger. Notably, the Z model has a better seat with two tension springs rather than the one found on the G models. I can't compare ride, but the Z model has wider tread and fatter back tires, which are the ones that largely absorb shocks to one's spinal area. I believe the Z has more metal and less plastic. Finally, the front king pins on the Z seem larger than the king pins on the G's. The Z seems better designed for extensive mowing. All about what one might expect for more $.

Sounds real nice. I am wondering if it would last as long as a BX would. I REALLY wish I could see one. I don't see how some people see one in a brouchere, and slap down $9000 on one. :|
