Any one else with a faulty fuel gauge?
I ran mine out of fuel this weekend -- the dashboard gauge reported 1/4 tank.

I've certainly noticed that mine moves around a LOT. Every once in a while (every hour or so) I'll stop for a minute on flat ground to see what the true read-out is. I get the impression that either there's a lot of sloshing (technical term) of fuel in the tank or the sensor/gauge is badly placed.

One other bug I noticed on my BX is that sometimes I have to engage and disengage the PTO clutch lever for it to start.

Service bulletin out on this , check with your dealer. They'll either recalobrate (bend the float rod) or replace the sender.

Thanks,
I made the call and they'll be out on Friday to fix it
and change the fuel filter(?)

so would new BX's be affected by this or only older ones?

Mine is only around a month old - but don't know how long the dealer had it on his lot. I'll be calling to see what happens ... haven't got around to it yet.

Purchased November of last year with a serial number of 56XXX. 44 hours. First couple of tankfulls the guage
appeared to work fine. But last week the guage definately reported 1/4 tank as it choked, smoked, cought then died.

With just 8 hours on the new Bx2200, and supposedly 1/3 of a tank of fuel....cough sputter cough. First I thought something was wrong with it....then I remembered reading this thread...poured in some more fuel and away it went. The dealer sent someone out anyway and they said they will look into the fix. They even re-adjusted the grass cutting level while they were there....it seems someone ;) messed with the adjustment and had the wheels too low.....dang tractor gremlins.

Anyone else get the fuel guage fixed?

Thanks, Kubmech. My own 2200 has a fuel gauge that comes and goes (goes when I’m on it, corrects right when I’m about to call the dealer /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif). Serial number falls in the range. I’ll give ‘em a call.
