Mine moves around a bunch especially on inclines etc. I figure the best way to know how much fuel you have is the same thing wise pilots have done from the beginning--trust not the fuel guage and look into the fuel filler and see what the fuel level is. Of course in a BX you do not have far to fall but it could be a pain repriming the injectors. J

Hummmmm…. An aside thought, with all these serial numbers. I have occasionally wondered how may BX’s have been built and/or sold since the 01/2000 rollout. Now, I have always assumed that the BX 2200’s started with SN 50001, based on mine being an 01/2000 delivery, and having SN 50299. (I really didn’t think they built 50k of ‘em that quickly, so figured it was a 50000 baseline).

So, now I’m pondering if Myles’ recent BX designates that 11,839 BX 2200’s were assembled, as of that particular unit’s production.

If this is valid, I would like to capture the serial number of a 2200 and a 1800 freshly delivered to the dealer. May answer the production question. Now, if we can get all 12k 2200 + X-k 1800 owners onto this forum, I think we would have a majority /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif.

I picked mine up yesterday and the fuel gauge said 3/4 when it was full..... then it went to 7/8 after I started using the tractor and when I was finished it red 1/2.... Guess that I will just have to wait and see what happens ..... I would think that the factory would have resolved this problem by now.....

My fuel guage bounces all around. The only time that it is accurate is when it is parked on the level.

Bet it's accurate when it's empty too! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

mine isn't bouncing around, but it just isn't reading correctly. I have 5 hours on the machine and it has used 1/2 tank of fuel...... I don't think so...

I think you will find that the BX22/BX2200 will use about a gallon of fuel an hour.

My Guess is that it uses less than that.

My B2910 uses about 5 gallons in 8 hours. Don't know what my BX2200 uses, but my GUESS is maybe 1/2 gallon per hour...

I've gotten into the habit of topping off the bx before fueling the B2910...save a lot so spilling when I try to get the fuel started into that hole in the middle of the larger tractors hood... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
