Bill, I was wondering if you'd be willing to share some advice on lawn care. Would a home lawn benefit from being aerated once a month? Maybe that only makes sense if you are watering, topdressing, and in general treating the lawn like a golf course? Thanks, Will

Will,
Most home lawns do not require monthly aeration unless you have very compacted soil conditions which would normally only be found with a high clay content in the soil or in an area of the lawn which receives much vehicular or pedestrian traffic.
Many would however benifit from annual aeration in the fall which opens up the soil to allow air, water, and other nutrients to reach the root systems.

Jim,

Sorry I just read your post - been a little busy. We had a nice thundershower last night. Definitely interfered with my rock moving tasks. Sorry to hear you guys haven't had much. We take it for granted around here. I got rained on playing golf on Saturday and Sunday.

By the way - my new RFM and Box Blade are going to be uncrated at my place tonight. Any last minute tips for assembly? /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Bird,
I am pretty sure that was Steve Carver that took both back tires out with a box blade.
