I think I might consider an additional post placed about 1 foot away from this post. Kind of like a "protector" post if you will.

I'm thinking more along the lines of cinder blocks with rock around them. Make it so strong that the next time it happens, the vehicle is the one that gets damaged!!!!

Many years ago, I worked for an excavating contractor that lived not far from an interstate highway. Drivers wanting to go east bound (back to the city, go figure) would miss the ramp then turn around in his driveway or often as not, his yard.

We hauled a couple of boulders in and set one on either side of the drive. You would not believe how many pieces of broken red plastic laid by the boulders.
