Feedback on Kioti LB2204?

I'm looking at a 1988 Kioti LB2204 with 1000hrs for $6k. I've been trying to do a little research on them. If anyone has some feedback on the LB2204 and Kioti in general I would greatly appreciate it. Is there is anything specific I should look for on that tractor or any known problems? It would be used to mow, plow, and general all around work on my 15 acres of property. I'm new to the world of tractors, so thanks for the help in advance.

Is that with loader or no loader?
Without loader it sounds a bit high to me, but I don't have much knowledge of the Kioti's resale value.. All I know is the newer versions are an extremely well built unit and the owners are happy. Welcome to TBN

Hard to say !
Depends largely on how the tractor was used or abused, and maintained.

I agree with what Vince said also if you are worried about the brand etc. Don't be parts are available for even the oldest Kioti. The 2204 is a very close brother to the 2554 also.

I just bought on two weeks ago with a loader , Im happy with the tractor for $4350.00 with disc, and cultivator. However when he delivered it it must have been warmed up. Its very hard starting when cold, Im working on that problem now, I dont think power is getting to glow plugs. Be sure the motor is cold when you get there, and then start it. Key has to be turned to the left to activate glow plugs. Thats all I know so far Im still working on my glow plug problem. Over all nice tractor, I guess anything from 1988 needs a little help. If I were to do it again I would take it to a tractor/diesel mechanic and pay $100.00 or so to have it looked at. It will be well worth it. ken

77 it does sound like the glow plugs are not working. I have to say in winter down under 20F I usually activate the glow plugs 3 times before starting and that helps a ton.

Thanks loads. I bypassed the glow plug fuse per a Kioti Mechanic and I hope that going to work, I will know in the morning when first firing up. Its all a new learning experience, yours is 10 years newer than mine and Im sure they have come a long way. All in all, I really like the mid size.I,ll keep you posted.

I just bought a LB2204 with 1025 hours on with a KL120 loader and a 5 ft bush hug for $5200 It starts great in this kansas winter

i know this is an old post,but i have recently purchased a 1986 lb2204,have you ever found out the part number for the glow plugs and starter,the info for these tractors are about non existent,i bought the shop manual for it for $100 and it is totally a waste of money
