new jd 4110/ old ford 1715 4x4
HEY GUY'S, While I wait very impatiently for my new toy to be delivered I decided to check this site for a bunch of possible potential problems with the 4110 w/410fel. I'm feeling good that their's not alot of negative posts. although now I'm even more excited. Every time the phone rings it doesn't ring twice! I wish I would have known about this web site when I bought my first love [Ford 1715 4x4 w/fel] back in 95. I think Al Gore invented the internet before then ! I'm gettin old. Thanks for all the help.

410 loader and 4110 appears to be a good match.
You get what you pay for in regards to breakout force and lift capacity; loader will stall if over taxed (of course) For example, trying to break loose soil held together with a lot of roots will take some backward and forward motion. To be expected considering tractor/loader size and design limits.
The bucket level indicator option is very useful; order one up if you already haven’t.
And if you have a folding ROPS coming, check out the pin function at both lower and raised positions. A bunch of the cuts on my dealers lot have issues with holes lining up. Mine had to be enlarged slightly (1/16 or so) to make up for inaccurate welds on one lower side.

Thanks for the input. I don't dought the breakout will be weak, luckly I have loaders and bobcat at work that I can barrow when needed. Basically It will be used for moving stuff around property, lawn mowing,& weekend snow removal when it's to risky or no sneakaway time at work { I mean lunch time breaks} to use work equipment . Play time when I look for an excuse to be outside. My 27hp ford 4x4 ford 1715 didn't have any breakout force either, but I was to green [make that blue] to know it should have had more balls? Don't get me wrong I loved that tractor and will be sorry If my JD is only 4/5 of the ford. I did love the gears though, I pulled my neighbors 9n away from his bridge in more than 12" of snow sideways as to not wreck his bridge or tractor, in low 1, with ag tires and fel you could not get it stuck. This will be my first hydro for home use . I hope I'm not disappointed.

As well you should /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif. Mine has handled everything I have thrown at it. You won't regret your choice for a minute.

I'm well satisfied with my 4010, and you have about 25% more hydro flow than it does. Haven't really run out of Hp with the 4010; so you should be fine with the 4110.

The 4010 will fill and lift the 410 bucket completely full of gravel. It will stall out if you try to fill it too quickly or without simultaneous forward and upcurl.

You'll need at least 300# on the 3 pt to offset the weight of a full bucket of gravel, in addition to filled tires.

Hello to everyone. I am a new poster on this site, although I have been reading the posts for several years. I too am feeling good about my 4110 purchase. I seem to have a long wait ahead of me because the 60"mmm and loader both had to be ordered. I was told that by my dealer that the 410 loader was no longer available, so I was forced to purchase the 200CX. It isn't scheduled to be delivered until June 8.
I haven't seen or heard much about the new style loaders. I just hope they are as good as the 410.

Mine is supposed to be delivered monday. My dealer said nothing about the 410 being discontinued, although he had to take the loader off a display model because he said there were none at any of the 6 dealership locations. I also asked if the 4110 was being replaced, and he said it was unlikely, but had heard that possibly the 4010 and 4115 might be . I'm not sure what differance the 200cx will be, hopefully just as good.

Welcome....
Do a search for poster "KennyD". He is a wealth of experience for the 4110 owners. He has made many mods & improvements & when he starts a project, I pay close attention because they are always interesting.

Thanks for the compliments Eric /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I have 111 hours on my 4110, and still feel good about my purchase. I put the MMM on today, One thing you just gotta love about JD stuff, It just works! That MMM was on in about 7 minutes, and that was with my 5 year old "helping" me.

Next project: A light to indicate when the 4WD is on.
