Ballast FEL and ballast?

   / FEL and ballast? #11
That's what my ballast looks like. I've found that the Kubota front weights will slip right on top of my box blade so I can get 200lbs on it pretty easily and then just put a motorcycle tie down strap through the handles to hold them on. I figure that's probably 500lbs on the back.

Have a good one,
Dave

I haven't had to use ballast yet but a BB is the answer to a lot of your needs!

Is that you on the tractor Henro?

I have loaded rear R1s and usually keep a 6' Kodiak box blade on the back for ballast. The LA682 loader will still occasionally lift the rear of the tractor with both of these and I will have to chain something to the box blade for extra weight. The new LA723 loader on the current model Grand Ls should pick up even more than mine and result in an even wider "window" of weight that the FEL will pick up that the rear end cannot counterweight without extra ballast.

Not to embarrass you but do you have your seat belt on? I could not see it. I get real nervous doing anything without one except just moving the tractor.
