Just finished installing my independent lift kit for 62" deck on my 2520 what i didnt realize was that i will not be able to use one or the other with out connecting the hoses every time guess i thought i could use the mower deck and he fel independent of each other i will need to switch between hoses to operate each implement ,does any body know of a valve body so that all the hoses can stay connected so that if im mowing and want to move a fallen tree branch i dont have to get off of the tractor and switch hoses to use loader thanks for the information /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hmmm--that doesn't sound like what the dealer described to me. I believe that they said there would be a separate control lever and hoses for the independent lift. Maybe it just depends on how you install it /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
There also seems to be some confusion as to wether you can the leave the loader on at all when you "drive over" the deck--weight issue I guess. My dealer said no problem, but I thought I read somewhere that it was suggested to remove the loader.

My dealer made me think the same thing even after explaining the pict on the deere page only show hoses not valves. The system requires you to use one set of ports of your fel to make it work. You have another option install a power beyond with another directional valve to control the mid mount lift system.

I'm wondering why couldn't you use a 3rd scv to control the up and down movement of the mmm? I had one installed on my 3320 and was thinking that if I was to ever get a mmm I could use it. After all it does have the lever with two directions. Just my opinion.

Plumber--FYI, spoke to the service guys at my dealer this a.m., and this is the way they were planning to install the independent lift on my 2520 (3rd SCV).

Don--I'll check with the dealer--when I was there today, the service manager did a sketch on a scrap piece of paper. It looked like they would add a 3rd SCV at the end of the block where the dual SCV's (for the loader) are located. This would mean that you would then have to have another lever/controller installed somewhere on the tractor--maybe one of the fenders?? didn't seem like there was a separate "kit" for the installation--just order the indpendent lift, and then figure out what parts are needed to install. Hope this helps, but mine won't be in for another week or so.

I signed up today for a 2305 with an independent lift. The dealer told me there was a seperate lever to activate it, I sure hope he's right or else I think I am going to switch it for mechanical lift.......It's cheaper anyway
