I'm getting many balled evergreens, 9-12 feet tall, and am wondering what the best way would be to use my tractor to plant them-bucket forks?. I would also like to be able to move small trees-dig perimeter with BH, then 'stab' into 'ball' on either side of trunk?. I've a NH TC29 with BH and FEL.

Thanks for any thoughts.

I have used my FEL Forks for moving a few trees. But am limited by weight of the trees. You may have the same problem. I do not have Bucket Forks. Mine are standard Pallet Forks.

Sounds like you need a tree / root bucket like the ones they have for skidsteers? I made one and it works real good .

They make attachments for this for skidsteers. Could you switch to a universal attach plate and get one?

I bought a Bobcat Digger when I had a skid steer. When I sold my skid steer, I made sure that I could use my Digger on my tractor (via ATI adapter). I have moved trees from one location to another, cleared saplings, roots and all, and cut ditches faster than any other implement. A tree spade would be ideal, but awfully pricey. If you're looking to buy an implement, consider the Bobcat Digger.
