I recently purchased a Kubota L3010 with a Kubutoa fel. The bucket was rolling forward. I took it back to the dealer and the Husco valve was fine so they changed the seals in the bucket. Worked great for about a week and now leaks down a gain. Doen't leak fast, probably two inches every ten minutes. My question is.....is this leakdown normal for this unit or should I take it back to the dealer for further repair. I have only used the fel a few times to move some aggregate around my shop.....Thanks for your replies. Tom

Tom, there's been lots of discussion about FEL buckets lowering and/or rolling forward from either valve leaks or cylinder seal leaks. At one time, I think someone (John Miller III?) posted the "acceptable" rates for one of the manufacturers. In other words, a certain amount is considered to be "within specs" but an excessive amount is to be fixed. I never had that problem at all with my '99 B2710, but my '95 B7100 loader would gradually lower itself, even with the engine running and I was constantly raising it a bit when mowing or tilling. The dealer tried replacing the seals in the cylinders, then I wrote Kubota headquarters in California a letter and a factory service rep came to the house to check it, and without instruments to pressure test everything, he thought it was going to be the valve and told the dealer to replace the valve. However, when the dealer pressure tested everything, it was found that nothing was wrong with the valve, so they simply put all four new cylinders on and that fixed the problem. Good luck with yours.

I remember the thread you are talking about where acceptable rates were posted. But, I can't find it. Do you happen to know where it is.

Thanks
