Well , You have a Mahindra and these are Yanmars.... While I can't speak for every one here, Gary appears to have had 8.8 & All of mine are 8.8 and they came loose several times until, I used thread locker
Yes. Use 10.9. Make sure there is at least 1.5 bolt dia of thread depth and tighten to the bolt spec. Bolts loosen because the joint moves and the bolts back up. Locktite may prevent the backup but you can be sure that if the joint was moving originally the locktite wont stop the movement - thats wear and eventual "loosening". The orig and continued loosening indicates a combination of 2 things; the torque spec is not sufficient. :wink: The reason this is 2 things is that the 8.8 bolts cant be tightened enuf w/o failing. Try 10.9 with Gr 8 washers and w/o locktite. If they dont loosen youve stopped the movement. Thats the ticket.
...Also, be sure all bracketry mates neutrally very close to the surface so it doesnt rely on bolt tension to pull it there.

If you look into the holes missing bolts and see threads that is how many you are missiing. 12mm measures .472". May have to do some measuring.

Just bolt size (all metric), depth and thread pitch is all we're looking for; the tractor is a weekend thing and is 1/2 way to Alaska far away at the moment .

No heat, no humidity. A little piece of heaven, really - traditional Spanish culture overlaid on local Andean culture that remains healthy all along the Andes today. Ecuador has none of the hassles that we think of in Colombia, Venezuela (its sister states), or Mexico. Its a great place to visit. This our second visit here; actually third for me - I visited here first in 1967 on my annual leave from work in another SA country. I admire these people. They have gotten right the respectful, decent and happy living that we could use more of.

I'll copy part of a post I put in a 'Friendly' Politics thread the other day:

======
Quito is right on the equator ('Ecuador') and at 9400 ft in a valley along the spine of the Andes. Maybe 50 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean. So it's beautiful spring weather here every day of the year. For one example, much of US florists' flowers come from here year round.

[...]the friendly people in Ecuador. In both the restaurant where we had lunch and the one where we just had dinner, every guest who entered spoke some sort of greeting to us and to every table they passed while entering. Then 'buen provecho' (have a nice meal) or similar to the other guests as they departed. A nice custom. We here could learn something from this civility.
======

And a post I put up this afternoon in the Mahindra group. It links to pictures you (and everybody here) might like.

I have a similar rig - I think the same loader on a 186D. But I'm out of the country at the moment. (visiting Quito, Ecuador).

I'll be home in about a week and can see what bolts are there if you don't have a good answer before then.
Ok, I'm home. This is a YFL650 loader on a YM186D. Here are pix showing the only bolts that go straight up from below. All views from below operator's left foot.

1) Two bolts at Right side (only) of front crossmember:

2) Rear loader crossmember is bolted upward to transmission:

I tried taking photos of the bolts into the side of the engine block by the starter and over on the opposite side. It's impossible with the power steering cylinder and hydraulic lines blocking any view. But those locations are obvious and you couldn't overlook a missing bolt.

.... ach I should have taken some pics last weekend when I was there; your bottom bracket bolt locations look right on the 2nd pic but different on the first one ... any idea of size & length? Thx cheers BC D

I'm home in town at the moment so can't go out and look. As I remember, the upward bolts at the right end of the front crossmember simply attach the mast on the right side that supports the loader control valve. Your YFL675 loader might be a little different than this 650.

As for the two bolts upward from the rear crossmember into the transmission housing - I'm not willing to remove them. I expect they are set with blue Loc-tite like a lot of other stuff that seems solid. But I'm pretty sure it is critical that you have correct bolts in there (and the bolts into the side of the engine block).

all the side bolts are intact; and it looks like the bottom ones have been missing for a while; understandable you don't want to loosen or remove them to check length or size; there looking like a 1/2" equivalent (what's that in metric 18mm?; could you size them with a socket the next time you think of it; thanks). I recall tightening all the bolts when I first got it; then seeing some bolts loosened and went around retightening again; and I should check again with some blue locktight.
