That is so obviously a manufacturing defect I'm surprised Kubota won't cover it. You might try contacting kubota yourself and see if they'll help you.

You could fix it yourself for less effort than attempting to get someone else to do it. And you’re only out at most a can of Kubota paint. It’s not like it’s going to cost big bucks.

Be sure and video it when it blows up.

It’s not going to blow up. Melting the seals would be the biggest risk but since it’s not the gland end that’s not going to happen either.

I wrote Kubota customer service a long letter explaining the whole issue and they just passed it off back to local dealer. Just coming to fix it myself.

If you get a chance to take a picture after you grind/drill that area out, I'd be curious to see what the fault was. It kind of looks like they left a bit of slag at the point where they finished the weld. That might explain why it took so long to start leaking, the slag held for awhile.
