Yes I got what he trying to do. Now how would it work if the regen was on the boom spool?

If he hooked the boom up to the curl work ports, the boom would work normal, and if he then went to regen, the boom would drop faster than before.
We also don't know if regen is in the first part of lever movement, and if it is, then the lift would start to descend faster than normal at the start of lever movement.

That boom is heavy and drop at a good rate. If the regen is 2nd half he would have to go past the detent and to get the movement that he's trying could not be done. It take very little movement one way or the other to do it. When everthing right it still takes some seat time to do it good. I think he has the seat time by the way he is talking. Hope maybe what is been said well give him some insite and help.
