Chris, the 3010S was a Ford/NH tractor. The 3010 was a straight New Holland tractor. I don't think there is very much different between them but there is a designation change once New Holland took the Ford name off their products for good.

Well, maybe. There is also a Kubota 3010 and a JD 3010. I looked but didn't see where he stated who's 3010 >?

I wasn't aware there were other brands designated as 3010. It is a New Holland. Dealer brought it over for me to try. Good strong tractor. It is a little more tiring to shift these gears compared to the elec. shuttle on the TN75. I will not use this but occasionally, though. What do y'all think I should offer for price? Tractor has only 121 hours and the Woods FEL looks practically brand new. Asking 11,500, which he thinks is a bargain. I have bought a lot of equipment over the years to use at the farm (this is for the house) so I think he is trying to be fair. Thanks

Is it really a 3010.. or a 3010s.. sometimes dealers forget things like the II/S designations when they start wheelin and dealin..

It is apparently a 3010 (no "S"). No markings that say Ford/New Holland. Just New Holland. I thought they were about the same tractor anyway??? Maybe I am wrong. Thanks for your help.

I nosed around a bit on Used Tractors at TractorHouse.com: John Deere Tractors, used farm tractors and farm equipment, Case IH, New Holland, Agco, Caterpillar., there's a New Holland 3010 with 641 hours, Bush Hog loader listed in Texas for $13500, another listed in New York, no loader, 236 hours, for $11500. Probably not a lot of wiggle room in the price you've been quoted, not a lot of those tractors were sold. 8x2 transmissions, 42 PTO HP, relatively bare bones machines. 2 tractors are always better than one though. ;)

Just wanted everyone to know that I got the 3010. It is a good machine and plenty of hydaulic lifting power. The Woods loader is really very powerful. My only negative is not being able to use the electronic shuttle I would have had on the TN. That sure would have made it easier. However, I am not doing any big projects, so I just have an occasional hour or two here and there, so it's really OK. I do sometimes spin the back tires----should I put some weight back there?? Thanks

Got a big heavy box blade? Nothing like the 1/2 punch of a loader and box blade.

NH's (ford) 8x2 tranny is a good bulletproof design.

I do have a big old box blade. I hadn't thought of that. I was thinking about having to buy some sort of weight system. Thanks for the suggestion.....sometimes I don't see the obvious!

And if it is not heavy enough.. add some weight to the blade..
