FEL General Help?

Running around the country collecting steel for projects, have some FEL questions.
1. Bucket Steel? I have seen plans from 18 gauge reinforced with 1/4 steel, to 1/8th and 1/4 steel for the bucket, any ideas? Willbe on a SCUT, about 1500 pounds with driver, lots of gravel in creek here.
2. Anyone have any pics of how they connect to the frame for some ideas?
3. Amy advantage tothe joystick controls?
4. If I only use 1 cylinder to the bucket,can it be off on one arm or does it need to be centered?

i would use atleast 3/16 on the bucket

the joystick is easyer to use then two seprit valves

and for the bucket cylinder it has to be centerd or it will twist the arms and bucket

i used 1/8'' on my garden tractor bucket(clam shell on my dozer blade) because to thick will make it heavey and you wont be able move as much

3. Yes, much easier to use and take up less space-and at $170 it doesn't really cost any more. Look here: 9-7694

4. MUST be centered. Probably easier to use two cylinders though rather than adding framework to get the cylinder centered.
