FEL how long 'should' bucked remain up when parked?

The "correct / not-corrct" list wasnt meant to offend anyone. Rather it was to help me keep track on just who undersotod and who did not, in an effort to try to help teach those that do not understand how things actually work. And at this point, I still dont really know where you stand Richard?

Yes, loaders drift down all the time. Some worse than others, and several threads on TBN about the subject. But the issue always comes up when someone says something like "the cylinder probably needs rebuilt" or "cylinder seals are bad" etc.

And thats just plain bad advise. And some people just cannot comprehend that the seals in the cylinder being bad, cannot and will not be the cause of a loader drifting down. And after many many threads and posts on TBN about the subject, the bad advise that people are giving, telling people to rebuild their cylinders keeps getting spread around.

A FEL control valve is supposed to have minimal leakage past the spools. And thus minimal leak down of the loader. When the valve wears out, it leaks by more and more, and the loader drifts down faster and faster. Has nothing at all to do with the cylinders, cylinder seals, etc.

I just don't tolerate poor observations and half truths being passed off as information...
It's a weakness I have, the desire for accurate information and advice. That is a problem for some folks.

Yep, more surface area as well as more volume. Which is why the cylinder has more force extending than retracting. Also why its slower extending than retracting. Its all directly related. IF you understand one part of it, you should be able to understand it all:thumbsup:

I got it now!
There was no way in heck I could be wrong! But, I was. The piston could move inside the cylinder with a leaking seal as I believed, if it was not pulling in the rod to which it is attached, from the outside of the cylinder. The addition of the outside rod into the inside of the cylinder is not possible.
My brain block is removed.
