Removed my FEL from my B7800 (bought it new in August, it now has 10.5 hours on it.) in preparation of snowblower installation and noticed 2 of the hydraulic hoses were worn from rubbing on the FEL frame. Anybody else have this problem? I told the guy that picked up the tractor to mount the blower that I wanted 2 new hoses at no charge as I feel it wasn't my fault. Also had a couple minor cosmetic problems but for the price of the tractor it should be perfect. Now I can't wait for snow! Actually, anytime around Thanksgiving. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

MGB -

If there are clear wear / rub marks on the FEL frame where the hoses have rubbed - then I think you have a fairly strong case for free replacement. Also, the fact that you have two hoses (assuming in the same location?) similarly worn seems suspect - unless you snagged a branch or something while doing FEL work & didn't realize it? But then I would tend to think that only 1 hose would rub....

I tore a hose demolishing an old shed - but had one made at a local NAPA auto parts store for @ $25 - all on a Saturday too.

I have @ 80 hours since new end-March 2004 - and have no other hose wear that I know of.

Hope that helps,

Dan

My BX22 hoses have wear (1.5 years old). The hose layout is kind of bad on Kubota.

Had a Grapple added to my bucket and the hoses for this run generaly along along the frame, just waiting to get snagged by something in the woods - not a good layout. No problem w/FEL hoses - only have 23 hours (L3130). Like the machine.

They are both in the same location. One of them has a flat spot and the other has a couple of small "gouges". I spoke to the service manager yesterday about them being replaced at no charge and he said he would talk to the guy that picked it up about what they looked like. I feel pretty confident that they will go good on this but if not I'll be calling Kubota. I haven't snagged any branches, it just looks like they've been rubbing on the frame. Maybe they need to extend the protective sheath. I should find out tomorrow one way or the other. Thanks for the replies!
