I need help!!!

Brand new kubota b2620, and the FEL valves stick, has been from day one.

If the FEL is not used for 15 minutes, and I try to move the bucket say, down just a little, as I push on the lever, it does not move. As I increase pushing it, all of a sudden, I feel something release, the valve moves, but by then, it moves too much, and the bucket drops too quickly. After that, when this whatever frees up, it works fine, and I can move the bucket slowly and under control.

Happens on both up/down and curl/dump. Then after it frees up, if I don't use the FEL for 15 minutes, it happens all over again.

Same problem with the engine running or not. Even if I lower the FEL and stop the engine, release all hydraulic pressure. Then let it sit for 15 minutes, same problem.

Took it into the dealership, and they can't find anything wrong. This is not normal.

Any help/suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Have you checked to make sure the lock lever that locks the control lever from moving is completely disengaged?

Yes I did, it is disengaged.

Some times, if a valve body is tighten down too much, the valve will warp and cause the spools to bind..

Try loosen the mounting bolts and try it.

There is a slight bump when you use regen, and much harder bump when using float.

Bucket tilt up and loader arms up should be a smooth operation.

ZGB32,

Since it does this with no pressure or load on the sytem it does sound like some form of mechanical binding. Does your B2620 have direct mechanical linkage to the valves or cables? On my Branson the ball joints on the linkage were rusty and caused binding. I had to lube the heck out of them to get them to move freely.

Can you access the valve easily and remove the linkage connection to the valve spools. If yes try moving the joystick to see if you feel any binding. If no then this would point to something in the valve binding like JJ stated above.

All movement from center position should be smooth until you get to detents.

There have been several threads about sticking Kubota loader valves over the years. It happened to me and I replaced the long, hex shaped components that protrude from the valve body. Everyone seemed to agree that it was condensation trapped in those hex parts that rusted the detent mechanism and/or froze when it turned cold enough. Some people drilled a drain hole to cure the problem. Post back if you can't find it on a TBN search.

I think this is the best thread: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...g/127095-loader-float-freeze-up-winter-3.html

Linkage to valve is direct, no cable. Dealer lubed the linkage, but I will check tomorrow, make sure it moves freely.

Rust from the condensation was also a problem with locking up the detent. I bought new parts for mine but once I disassembled it, I think some penetrating oil would have fixed it.
