FEL Hydraulic Valve

I remember reading here on the list a while back, (maybe a year or so back) of someone mounting their FEL control valve to the tractor instead of the loader frame itself. So that when the FEL is removed from the tractor the control valve can be used for another implement.
In my case I have a LA681 loader on my L3710 Kubota with a Curtis hard cab. I can't take off the FEL because the controls go through a square hole in the cab. There is not enough clearance to raise the loader off the tractor mount once the pins are pulled.
Anyone with some ideas or even better pictures of how they did this or how I could do this would be great.
I plan on trying something this spring if it ever warms up!!!

Jim,

This is the way it works on larger Ag / utlility tractors.
A joystick in the cab runs a set of remotes on the back of the tractor which can be used to run a loader or any other attachment for that matter.
A set of hoses run back to the back of the tractor from the loader and you simply unplug the loader when you want to pull it off.

I run a hydraulic rear blade with the same set of remotes and joystick that I run my loader from. Just not at the same time.

Not sure how you would accomplish this since I am not familiar with your unit. Do you have any remotes setup on the unit?

Here is a shot of my loader removed so I can run the blade.
Note no controls on the loader.

I have a 3710 also and my control valve for the FEL is mounted on the loader fram but when I take the loader off the frame and controls stay with the tractor only the loader arms and loader stay behind. Maybe yours is set up diffrently with the hard cab. I am using my FEL controls for a logsplitter. I don't have any rear remotes but they are installed on the right side of the seat next to the PTO switch.

Let me know if I just confused you and I can take a pic of the tractor without the loader so you can see what I am talking about.

Do you have a LA681 loader? Is the control for the FEL mounted to the right of the steering wheel up front with a long lever? Yes a picture would be great if you don't mind. I would also like to use the control for other applications when the loader is off.

When I got the loader for my L2900, it had
option for a seperate control that stayed on
tractor.
But I found good deal on a loader (LA481 ?)
dealer had in stock and control was attached to it
so got it instead.

The Loader is a LA 682. I will take some pics this weekend while using the splitter.

Just in case anyone is wondering here is what the connections look like on the back of an Ag/utility tractor.
Two connections for each remote since you will often run double acting cylinders like your loader.
The connections are easy to unplug, just turn off the tractor work the joystick to relieve the pressue and then pull.

Just don't make fun of my dirty tractor... I know its due for a wash.
We have two seasons; dust and mud.
