the Ball will not stay in upper triangular part --

can i just replace joy stick "BOX" via two cables ? Is this pretty standard --any JS will work ?

what specs do i need to know when replacing ? nearest TYM dealer is over 100 miles away --

If you are needing the plate the 3 balls go in and your joystick handle too last time i checked it was in the $20 area. That is one of the cheapest items to fix on this control lever. If that's what you need I would fix it rather than changing the assembly.

if you live rural, there will be a tractor repair shop, or a general mechainics shop, that works on trucks, tractors, implements, and just about any other agricultural equipment. The “Local” where I live is a place called “Lemhi Tractor”. And, he will work on just about anything, if you have the time to wait, folks keep him very busy. If you need it faster you can haul it 2-hours over the mountains to Missoula (no sales taxes), or 2-1/2 hours down to Idaho Falls.

And, the local NAPA and CarQuest both stock fittings and bulk hose, and will make up custom hoses.

You’re going to need a good extractor to pull what is left of the old fitting out. (Don’t ask the fifteen year old girl at the counter for a nipple extractor. She will turn red, scream and run away. Then her seventeen year old sister will come ask what you want, before she too blushes and runs away. Mom knew what I wanted, and went to the reserve stock downstairs to get me one. But made the girls come see what it looked like and showed them how it worked before she sold it too me.)

If it isn’t too much of a pain pull the whole valve out, so you can blow it out with brake cleaner and make sure there are no bits of metal to get into the rest of the hydraulics.
