Dirt Moving FEL Lacking Power

Thavil,
I see you live in the somd area. As I also do, but I have a question. I looked at the hydro kits on bxpaned and sent them an email about the kit. Do you know if that kit will work with the L4400? Like I said I sent them an email and no reply.
Thanks

As do I :). Do you also feel the FEL is weak on your l4400? I feel that way on mine.

KubotaNewb - To be honest, I can't say for sure but I would think they would. The male QD's on your L4400 should be the same size as they are on the BX series. The best person to answer would be Harry at BXPanded. Try him at this email address bxpanded@hotmail.com. I have emailed him many times and he always responds fast.

We try pretty hard to be responsive but once in a while we lose track of an email.
In answer, I think your LA703 loader uses a different connector than we keep on hand. The shims are the same. Unfortunately, we don't have detailed, illustrated instructions for the L series.
Sorry you didn't get a prompt reply, and also that I couldn't be more help.
Cheers,
Harry

I checked and adjusted the FEL pressures on my and my friends l4400HST Kubotas and here is a detailed link on the very easy process.
FEL Pressure Check

Yea, I haven't got around to checking it yet. I mentioned it to my dealer and they said they would come out and check it out...........but wouldn't be bringing a pressure test gauge. I said don't worry about then, because that is what I'm requesting you to do.

I checked my FEL pressure and it was low and setting it to spec made a dramatic difference.

I have same questions with my L-3010. The loader is rated at 1058 lb. I have bolt on forks to lift pallets and such. Having no water on my land i bought water tanks to trailer to a nearby creek, fill and lift off the trailer with the tractor FEL.
Water weighs about 6lb. Per gallon, the tanks are large but plastic and cased in an aluminum cage...guessing 60 lb. The loader forks weigh about 50 lb,..
I put about half a tank of water...150 gal. roughly 900 lb, plus the tank and forks... I'm guessing right at 1000lb. and the FEL just hissed when I tried to pick it up.
I drained about 50 gal. out,, reducing the weight to approx 700 lb. HISS....i had to drain down to about 75 gal before it would ever so slowly lift the tank.
I also tried tilting the load UP...hiss.
Is the loader weak or are the forks projecting the weight too far out to lift much weight?
ideas???
thanks

When you say ''bolt on'' forks, do you mean clamp on forks that clamp to the FEL bucket? If so the weight is probably to far out. I thought water weighs 8lbs a gallon, I could be wrong. If so that would be 1200 lbs at 150 gal, plus add the weight of the bucket, forks and aluminum cage. You would be quite over weight.

Water is 8.345404 pounds per gallon. You are way overweight.

And the farther distance out from the bucket works against you as well.

WOW, I had no idea that water was so much heavier than gas or diesel...6 and 7(ish).
Is there a larger bucket cylinder that would provide more lift or is that stressing too many other things?
Thanks
