I need a landscape rake, at least I think I do. you see I have a couple of hundred trees on my place and I cant mow without hitting fallen limbs, so i was thinking a landscape rake might pull out the downed limbs, but then I have to make two trips around the whole place( one to rake ,one to mow )
so, Imma thinkin, why not build a rake to fit the qa on my fel, rake and mow at the same time.

So would this work or not. and if not , why not??

Sure I can see still having to go back around and collect the limbs afterward but........

I have about 2.5 miles of fence row to clean up. I was trying to used my box blade and it worked but not real good. So I bought a 5 ft Landscape rake from Lowes in April 2012. It has worked great for us. We grade our turn rows, clean the fence rows, and grade our road, You can even rotate the rake and push with it. Now that I have it I will find more jobes for. I was not sure if should buy but I am glad I did. The only draw back to this rake is it needs a stand on the front.

Some folks have welded a harbor fright quick attach to a FEL quick attach plate. That way you could use the rake or other 3 point attachments on your FEL. Another thought would be to get a Ratchet Rake to strap on your loader bucket to pull the branches out.

Thanks,
I have a rachet rake and it works great for pulling brush out but I can sure tear up the yard with it .I like the idea of putting the Landscape rake on the front loader instead of building a unit that could only be used on the front.

That's what I did. It works well for cleaning out ditches. I use it with my carryall for a work platform/ lift, to trim trees.

I originally built it for use on my bobcat, but it has lots of uses on the tractor.

If you have a mower on the back it's going to be loooooong.

Are there FEL quick attach plates that fit on the bucket directly?

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. I don't know of anything that attaches to the loader bucket itself. They go on to the loader QA.
I think this is what you are refering to.

Bradco Universal Skid Steer Quick Attach to Tractor 3 Point Hitch Adapter

This is something like what I used to build mine.

I do think you can build one for< $350.

NorTrac Three-Point Quick Hitch Category 1 | 3-Point + PTO Hardware | Northern Tool + Equipment

Skid Steer Loader Quick Attach Mount Plate 1/4" Bobcat, Bare Metal, No Finish | eBay

Some welding required.

That's a great idea if you don't have a quick attach FEL bucket. I was thinking of a skid steer quick attach plate arrangement like Notforhire posted.

I know it needs paint BAD.:D This is my QA. It's on a carryall now. Works good for tree trimming. When I was building my barn, we put a pole boom on it to set trusses. Handy:thumbsup:
