BX23
After changing the gas filter and the BX23 was running smooth, I decided to level some ground. The FEL was curling when trying to back blade and noticed the left side was hanging. Upon closer examination, I noticed the pin was gone. I searched about and the pin was no where to be found. I think I was using the FEL for 20 seconds when I notices the issue. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The bucket doesn't line up over the hole. Where do I start to get a new pin? Do I replace the right pin as well? Is this a dealer repair?

Did it look like this???
I just had the same thing happen recently . I was loading buckets of gravel into a ditch and returned to the pile and noticed the side hanging. I had noticed the small pin that holds the big pin in was missing and replaced it a few weeks before. I bought a cheapo pin from the hardware store while my kubota dealer had to order the $2.50 small pin in. It lasted about two weeks and then the big pin was lost.

I called the dealer as I was in a bind with about 35 tons of gravel left in the driveway. You guessed it the big pin was not in stock either. He quoted a price of $6.75 for the big pin.
My brother in law had to do some welding to repair a crack on the loader bucket (Not related to the pin missing) and made me a replacement out of 440 rockwell steel or something like that.
You should be able to replace the big pin and little keeper pin for around 10 bucks and will need a cotter pin to hold the little pin in place. All you have to do is tap it in place, go from the side where the little pin goes in. Line the little holes up for the keeper pin with a small screw driver or a nail before you tap it in the whole way. If your off a little just tap it out and eyeball it again. look at he other side if you have any doubts.
I wondered if I should replace both pins too. Kind of like a wear issue thing but if you think of it, its just a hunk of steel. I had a little wear on the pin on the other side but not enough to worry about at this time.

Replace the pin today and greased the FEL.

Ordered the pin from a local dealer, picked it up yesterday, installed this evening.

Noticed half of the pin was still in the hole between the bucket and the arm. Knocked it out with a screwdriver and it looks like the pin had broken in half and the side with the cotter pin was the part that was lost. Was wondering if the bucket was not balanced to force the pin to break.

Had problem trying to get the bucket and arm to line up the hole. Put a couple large bags of sand in the bucket, and the weight helped line up the holes.

Needed to tap the pin in with a hammer and you have to make sure the pin hole on the arm is lined up with the pin hole on the pin.

Greased her, and she seems to work fine. Bucket seems tighter also.

Mine had cotter pins that held the left and right lower pins in from day one. I snapped two cotter pins off and got tired of replacing them. I now installed 3/16 linch pins. Problem solved!!
