FELs? Don't you mean buckets? The tradeoff is that the heavy material buckets are typically shorter/less capacity.BTW, there are light duty and heavy duty FELs. Get the heavy duty version if you plan to do much loader work.

OK, you kinda got me there with the 3rd party loaders... I was only referring to Kubota loaders, which the majority of buyers are going to go with.Actually, I have found that you can get both or either in some cases. Some loaders will fit different tractors and you can go for a heavier duty loader such as those made by Quicke. I believe Woods also makes loaders and we had a Westendorf loader on our Case. If I had not been so rushed, I would have seriously considered going heavier duty with my last tractor/loader.
Of course you may very well be right about the poster's comment on FEL/bucket, just thought I would mention the options available.

So in some cases there are multiple options for Kubota FELs? Is this mainly on the larger tractors? I've only seen one recommended option at a time on the B's and L's I typically follow. Maybe there really is more interchangeability, but it isn't really advocated?
