FEL & Loaded tires

BTW, there are light duty and heavy duty FELs. Get the heavy duty version if you plan to do much loader work.
FELs? Don't you mean buckets? The tradeoff is that the heavy material buckets are typically shorter/less capacity.

Load your rear tires. Do NOT load your front tires.
Get a heavy duty FEL bucket. I would add a toothbar.
Recommend R4 tires for what you are going to be doing. Work for me.
Grand L with HST is what you want...easy to drive, as safe as it gets with a tractor..important to you with kids running around, etc. It is shorter than an M series....not less capable.

Actually, I have found that you can get both or either in some cases. Some loaders will fit different tractors and you can go for a heavier duty loader such as those made by Quicke. I believe Woods also makes loaders and we had a Westendorf loader on our Case. If I had not been so rushed, I would have seriously considered going heavier duty with my last tractor/loader.

Of course you may very well be right about the poster's comment on FEL/bucket, just thought I would mention the options available.

OK, you kinda got me there with the 3rd party loaders... I was only referring to Kubota loaders, which the majority of buyers are going to go with.

So in some cases there are multiple options for Kubota FELs? Is this mainly on the larger tractors? I've only seen one recommended option at a time on the B's and L's I typically follow. Maybe there really is more interchangeability, but it isn't really advocated?

Your dealer is pretty much going to point you in one direction on loaders, but I have heard of people putting heavier duty loaders on and one guy even had a tractor delivered with the "wrong" loader, but it was heavier duty and more expensive, so he just kept it.

The M6800 will accept the LA1002 or LA1162, I am sure there are others, but I am far from being a Kubota expert.
