FEL loader won\'t go back on

I've had my B7400 now for over a year, the only problem I've had is the FEL is a pain in the but to put back on. The loader doesn't sit evenly on my shop floor, I think the frame is sprung or wasn't welded perfectly. When I drive the tractor into the frame of the loader it doesn't line up with the little bars that hold the loader arms,(ones a little higher than the other and it's also alittle twisted) any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm wondering if another set of pins might help in alineing the arms(?) This is such a cool website isn't it? Thanks

Re: FEL loader won\'t go back on

The standard advice here on TBN is to first check the air pressure in your tires.

Thanks for responding. The air pressures are correct. Have you ever heard of this problem before?

Re: FEL loader won\'t go back on

By the way the loader is an LA301.

Re: FEL loader won\'t go back on

If you are lucky enough to have a level concrete floor to work from, you should be able to take some measurements of the loader itself to see if it's racked. There is probably some tolerance that is acceptable... a Kubota dealer mechanic should be able to tell you how much.

Re: FEL loader won\'t go back on

Maybe put something under the low side of the loader to even it up with the tractor or drive one side of the tractor onto something so it fits in even.

Welcome to TBN /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I have a B2910 with a LA402 FEL. There is a good section in the FEL operator’s manual that explains how to do the final tightening of all bolts after installing the frame. Check your FEL operator’s manual for this procedure.
You may want to try loosening all the bolts & nuts and retighten with a load as described.
I have attached a scan of the procedure to this post.
