I would like to build a road grader for my next project and have been checking them out. My problem is it will be for a Kubota L39 and since its a pain in the butt to be switching between backhoe and 3pt all the time. I saw dura grader has one for skid steers. I like the idea of just switching out the bucket for other implements like the dura grader on the QA but worry that a item like a road grader would put a lot of stress on the FEL and dont want to mess anything up. What is your opinion on it being mounted on the FEL? Would it be better for the FEL to be pushed or pulled? I would probably build it so it could also be used on 3pt. for when the BH is already off. However that is not very often.

Unless this grader is mounted on its own wheels you will find that it gets frustrating really quick trying not to dig in each time the rear wheels go over a bump. If the ground is rocky you will have many sudden stops as well. I would concentrate on something that drags behind, even if it is just hooked onto the hoe by a chain. Of course your grond conditions might be completely different than the rocky stuff we have up here...

I think you need to look out for your loader arms. Wouldn't be surprised if Kubota lists a "width limit" for the FEL of ground engaging or snow removal blades. Of course, pulling would go easier on bending the arms, but still might put stress the pivot joints.

i use an adapter similar to this to run a boxblade of the front of my backhoe. the loader have the skid steer quick attach with the adapter to an a box blade. works great for me.

That dura grader looks more like a box blade not a grader, but I don't know what you want to accomplish. The grader made by Bobcat looks like a real grader. It should give you more ideas. Usually light smoothening grading would not put a lot of stress on the loader. With my loader when I dig into a dirt pile that would be a lot more stress than a grader would ever do.
