I was just wondering if anyone else has had any trouble with the FEL on their 2305. I'm not sure if this is normal or not but the curl/dump on my loader seems to be really "touchy". It seems that when I want to dump it hesitates for a few seconds before moving, and when it does move, sometimes it dumps fast and somtimes slow. I know there are two positions on the svc for dump mode fast/slow, but I don't think it should be that hard to find them. Also when I back blade or pull back on a pile, the bucket sometimes doesn't hold it's position and floats, almost like the hyd. oil is leaking back. I used to use a FEL on an 855 and don't remember this ever being an issue on it. I guess I'm just wondering if this is something I just need to get used to, or something I should call the dealer on. If this is normal operation, than I can say it's pretty disapointing

Could be air in the circuit(s). Run it all the way up, all the way down a few times. Curl all the one way, then the other as well.
If that doesn't fix it, have dealer check the contol valve.

I've noticed a similar problem on mine. It seems to happen at low RPM. I kick the throttle up a little and it's fine.

Does it changes depending on if you're engaging the hydro or not? With the drive disengaged, the controls should be consistently crisp.

I have also had weird things happen when moving mulch with mine. If I let the control lever return to it's original position and then move it, all works fine. I don't know but I have noticed it sometimes dumps fast and sometimes slow. When it's slow I stop and start over and that seems to work. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

woodsleeboy,

Coming from a JD755, so I know what your frame of reference is, the loader hydraulics on the 2210/2305 are nowhere as responsive as you are used to. Just be patient, the tractor will get the job done; albeit a little slower.
