FEL pins***Update***

After looking at all the pins on the FEL, I found no other pin to be misplaced.
I contacted my dealer and he provided another pin, which was shorter than the first. I had to take off the BLI so the clip would go onto the pin(temporary fix).
I am going to get different pins from another location, a local farming supply company. Anyone know if the FEL pins need to be of a certain tensil strength?

I would think yes. A hydraulic cylinder operates at fairly high pressures, and the stress on implement from these pressures could be critical. A lynch pin that keeps a 3PH arm from sliding off a pin on the implement would not be as hard. Some place that sells cylinders should have some that will work for you.

BTW, is Sabula a town, or a crop?

Just a thought, you might try your dealer again and tell him the replacement seems to be wrong. Might just be a simple mistake. If he doesn't know, ask him to contact the loader manufacturer and check pin dimensions. Hopefully he's willing to cure this issue.
So far, my dealings with the Mahindra dealers here on TBN has been excellent and if that is a KMW loader, they seem to be looking to keep happy customers as well.

Gee... is it that obvious? The longer pin is 4 1/4 vs 4 inch for the 3 shorter ones. 0550-4253 is the part number for the longer pin. If that does not fix it, you might measure the distance between the ears of the bucket. It does not happen often and I have not heard of any in ages, but sometimes an ear gets welded in just a hair off and makes it too wide to get the clip on right.

The bucket lift cap. is 1050 lb.
breakout force at the pivot pins is 2172 lb.
1" hitch pins at your local farm store will more than hold / carry this weight. Drill a new hole through them for hairpin clip to go into.
I've been using mine for 3 years now with hitch pins and they show no wear. Just a shot of grease each month keeps them lubed up.

yes the pin measures 4 1/4 inches, which is still about 1/8 inch off. I contacted the dealer, but he said that was the longest pin they have for the FEL. I may have to purchase the pins like george2615 stated.

Are you sure the six sided head of the pin is seated all the way into the six sided loader pin hole. Perhaps there is a piece of factory weld under the head not allowing it to go in all the way. Is it possible the plate the pin goes through got bent out an 1/8". If so a good smack with a hammer would give you back the extra space you need. Or you could grind down the inside edge of the head of the pin or do what I did. I have plenty on room since my pins are 6" long.

I looked at all my pins and they are all good. They are where they should be. I gave the pin a few smacks with the hammer, but it didn't help any. I think that the underside of the hex head would be a good place to grind down a little. I was also thinking that maybe the thickness of the BLI was out of spec, and made a little to thick?
