Front-End Loader FEL question

I've been shopping for a loader to mount on a NH TN80F and am confused about the difference between a mid-mount and a front-push. Any input?

It is confusing. Front push attaches to the tractor and then wraps a frame around the front of the tractor. The mid mount attaches to the tractor and then has a frame that attaches to the underside of the tractor. IMHO they should state bottom frame mount versus mid mount.

I would think that the mid mount or frame mount would be more secure but much heavier in application. Bush Hog identifies the 2246 QT front push as the correct model for my 1720. That loader and bucket is gonna weigh in @ 800#. The next mid mount or frame mount is the 2045. It has more lift and more capacity but weighs @ 1200# with frame. You also have less clearance with the mid mount.

Thanks for all the feedback. I have a much clearer picture of the difference. Now I'll have to look at the mounting frames to see which one creates the least interference for maintenance or operation.

Sorry for the dbl post. I couldn't figure out how to move it to this category. Tractor operations are easier for me than computers!
