I have not had an issue with the geometry being off - but think about where you are performing the procedure (but don't over think it.....:D )

Had the TB dig in easily to the asphalt and it can/will make marks in concrete. I usually lay down a 2x5 foot piece of plywood in the garage or driveway. And obviously it would do a little more damage to the lawn

Good point NuBota. I normally remove my FEL in my large shed with a wood floor. I have a rubber mat under the tractor, maybe I will buy another mat to remove the FEL on instead of digging into the floor. Thanks.

Just an FYI, If I try taking my FEL off when I have the Grapple attached it completely changes the geometry, I need to add about 6" under the support legs to get enough height to clear the FEL frame mount

I keep my tractor and all attachments in one garage bay with a concrete floor, so this an issue for me when I take FEL on/off, as I gouged some sizeable grooves in the concrete with the TB. I usually just pull the toothbar off if I am going to remove the FEL. An alternative would be to lay down a sheet of plywood or an old piece of carpet, an old area rug, or old large floormat from a vehicle. I tried to think of a way to make a long "cap" to cover the teeth, and even asked for ideas on TBN, but there were no practical ideas.

If I kept the FEL outside on soil or gravel, there would be no issue.
