Got Toatally stuck in the sand attempting to boxblade a sandy spot on a hill on the farm. Right Rear Wheel spinning Left Front Wheel spinning other two tires not moving -- I was stuck good. Could not move forward or backward. Used the Front End Loader to crawl the tractor out of the hole it was awesome! Love TC 48 DA Loader saves my first day on the tractor!

Did you try the rear diff lock ?

I've saved myself many times with that trick. I have the record of not getting stuck this past winter in the snow when all of my neighbors were not so lucky. I find it is a lot easier to push myself backwards than pull myself forwards with the bucket.

Do not know what that is? where is it located?
Diferential lock, has a foot pedal on my 1700 4x4. It locks both rear wheels togather so they both turn at the same time to get you unstuck. I don't know where your engagement lever is though. It probabaly would have got you out a lot quicker and easier. Learning by your mistakes is not as easy as reading the operating manual though.

right before i hit a spot that looks soft, i stomp the diff. lock.......makes a big difference...

just guessing here, and assuming the tractor has it......it's probably underneath your right foot somewhere.......don't feel badly, i didn't think mine had it when i bought it......my buddy said, "it has to have one, min tc does..."

On mine(TC35D) it is behind my left foot - just a black "L" shaped rod.

On the TC48DA, the differential lock is on the right side of the transmission, probably toward the rear of the operator platform. An illustration is attached (item #35). On HST tractors, the diff. lock is on the left because you have to use the HST pedals on the right. On gear transmissions, the diff. lock is on the right so you can use it and the clutch on the left at the same time.
